Ableton’s Loop will celebrate its fifth birthday in 2020, with an extravagant event hosted in Berlin on April 24th until April 26th. This year, Ableton is opening the event to a wider audience, offering 80 subsidised passes to those who register before October 1st, the date registration closes. Creators can also register for Summit Passes, Student Passes and Youth Passes, via the Loop website

Ableton’s Loop event brings musicians and producers together from around the world for three days of discussions, presentations, studio sessions, performances and interactive workshops. The summit aims to encourage the exchange of ideas at the cutting edge of music, technology and creative practice.

Loop attendees can expect a wide range of workshops, installations, seminars, lectures and performances.

Loop 2020 will be set around Berlin’s first crematorium site, aiming to provide “a historical setting for forward-thinking artistic practice” say its curators. The main venue on-site will be Silent Green Kulturquartier, with other contemporary spaces, Savvy, Ebensperger Rhomberg and Luxoom Lab, with Bonello Studios nearby to complete the campus.

For synth fans, these dates may sound familiar – they’re the same as Superbooth. No need to fear, though, as both Ableton and Superbooth are working together to allow the events to happily coexist, in an effort to give music makers the opportunity to experience two inspiring music events in a single trip to Berlin.
