RØDE’s iXY innovative stereo mic for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch has been recognised by the prestigious Red Dot awards as being a product of remarkable design quality. The panel of 37 judges who hail from all corners of the globe – including renowned fashion icon Jimmy Choo looked at over 4,600 products from 54 countries. The iXY was described as an innovative and technological step-forward for iOS based music recording.
Since its inception in 1955, the Red Dot awards have represented the highest standards of product design. It acknowledges the excellent ergonomics, functionality, longevity, formal quality, durability, aesthetics and innovation of a product.

The RØDE iXY will be on display at the Red Dot museum in Essen, Germany along with all 2013 Red Dot Product Design award winners from July 2nd to 28, 2013.
