RØDE’s NT-USB Mini promises studio-quality sound in a simple package

RØDE has announced the NT-USB Mini, designed to be a simple microphone for all kinds of content creators.
The USB microphone features a high-quality condenser capsule with RF shielding and “excellent capsule isolation”, according to the manufacturer. It’s built with a cardioid polar response pattern to maintain full attention to the subject in front of it and features a built-in pop filter for reducing plosives.
RØDE’S NT-USB Mini boasts a studio-grade headphone amp and 3.5mm headphone output. Precision volume control allows you to monitor your audio with ease, and a zero-latency monitoring mode will eliminate distracting echoes. A smooth frequency response makes it useful in a range of applications.
The mic ’s USB connectivity means it can be plugged straight into a computer or tablet for instant professional sounding audio, without the need for driver downloads. Its compact form-factor of 89mm width and 141mm height means the NT-USB Mini takes up minimal space in transit and in use. This makes it ideal for podcasters, gamers, musicians, streamers, business professionals and other users that may require a portable recording solution.
Furthermore, its integrated 360-degree swing mount allows for quick and easy positioning on a surface, plus a detachable magnetic desk stand to provide sturdiness.
RØDE says the NT-USB will be available this week (February 2020). The retail price will be £99 including VAT.
