The latest offering from virtual luthier, Sampleson, is ElectroNylon, a spectral-modelled cross-breed between an electric piano and a nylon-stringed guitar

ElectroNylon is a unique plug-in that allows you to blend the nylon guitar and electric piano tones with a dedicated central slider. The realtime spectral transformation mathematically blends harmonics and formats. Due to the mechanics involved here, plus the fact that ElectroNylon weighs in at just 35MB, its CPU-usage is fairly minimal, which is always a bonus.

Onboard the plug-in is a host of audio effects, including ‘Ambient’, chorus, drive, and reverb, with the ability to adjust ‘Details’ via the bottom-left panel. The details include key-click, slides, finger-noise and release strum. These aren’t usually parameters found on an electric piano, so rest assured this doesn’t sound like your usual keys plug-in. Listen to it below to hear its delicious weirdness in action.

ElectroNylon is easy to install and works across all major DAWs, including Cubase, Logic Pro, GarageBand, Cakewalk, Reaper, BitWig, Nuendo, FL Studio and more. It’s available for Windows and Mac, including macOS Catalina.

ElectroNylon is available now for an introductory price of $29, moving up to $49 in due course. Find out more at sampleson.com
