Serato Splice BeatFighter

Are you a beat-making champion? Time to put your skills to the test and step into the ring with Serato Studio BeatFighter – Slam Dunk edition. Partnering with Splice, Serato’s competition has a total of $25,000 in cash prizes.

BeatFighter is, of course, inspired by the classic 1990s arcade fighter game series, Street Fighter. You’ll battle other beatmakers across the world to make your way to the top, using the beats you make in Serato Studio as your weapon.

To enter, you’ll need to download the free BeatFighter sound pack from Splice Sounds using the promo code ‘beatfighter’. Using the sounds, create a one-minute beat in Serato Studio and upload your screen recording to Instagram with ‘#seratobeatfighter, @seratostudio and @splice’. Serato Studio has a free version which you can use if you don’t have the full version already.

Your beats will be judged interactively by the public via Instagram voting until you reach the last few rounds. Then, a special guest judge will pick the three winners during a live stream on Serato’s Twitch channel.

The winner will score $20,000 USD in prize money, with second place receiving $4,000 and third place receiving $1,000.

“BeatFighter celebrates the intersection of gaming culture and music production. So we’ve brought the competition to life with custom characters, locations, and backstories,” says Chief Marketing Officer, Scotty Hoogerbrug.

“And as there is public voting of the finalists, it’s not just about beat makers. Everyone can be involved and enjoy what we’ve created here. All you need to do is follow #seratobeatfigher and @seratostudio”.

Entries must be submitted before 18 March 2021, with public voting commencing on 23 March 2021.
