Slicing audio to MIDI clips is simplified in our new episode of Ableton Live Tutorials
Our host and Live 10 expert, Liam O’Mullane, breaks down this nifty production tool.
This week in our Ableton Live Tutorials, Liam O’Mullane shares some pretty handy wisdom with us, showing us how to slice audio clips to MIDI data in Ableton Live 10. This tool is fantastic for taking a recorded drum loop, for example, and replaying the sounds in a different pattern and rhythm, allowing you to transform a sample into something entirely new. Liam breaks down the different types of slicing methods and gets us familiar with Live 10’s Simpler instrument.
Other lessons in our Ableton Live Tutorials series so far include:
- Exploring the interface
- Arrangement and session view
- Choosing instrument sounds
- MIDI clip recording and editing
- MIDI clip programming
