Soundcharts Mentions

Soundcharts is announcing its biggest product update since its launch in 2016 – Mentions. The music analytics platform is designed to provide insights across platforms for musicians, both upcoming and established. Mentions allows artists to now see where they are being discussed globally on the web in realtime.

This makes Soundcharts the first music analytic service to offer such a feature. The idea is to help identify where they are being mentioned, to discover new regions where they are growing an audience, and use the newfound information to seek out potential opportunities. On a more local scale, this can allow emerging artists to spot opportunities in the area that can help them increase their fanbase.

The statistics can be broken down into country, domain rank based on website traffic, and the type of format they are being discussed in. This might be a news story, blogs or online discussion forums. This is all part of Soundcharts’ goal to help musicians make a positive impact on their growth.

David Weiszfeld, Founder & CEO of Soundcharts commented: “We’ve created a game-changer feature which we know all artists will benefit from. We see ourselves as a tool which is vitally important no matter what level of a musician you are. Data is impacting music and by adding Mentions, we’ve provided another opportunity for artists to reflect upon how they can continue to grow their music and fanbase”.

Soundcharts Mentions is available now for those signed up to the service. The platform is a subscription-based model, with options starting at €49 per month for full data on up to 10 selected artist profiles. A more A&R focused plan offers development tools for up to 25 artists, and is priced at €165 per month.
