SoundCloud DJ gives DJs offline access to over 200 million tracks
The new subscription plan is immediately integrated for VirtualDJ with more platforms to be included soon.
In a bid to continue empowering DJ’s, music streaming service SoundCloud has unveiled its latest subscription plan, SoundCloud DJ. The new service comes two years after the announcement of Soundcloud’s first foray into DJ integration with SoundCloud Go+.
Touted by the brand as “the next phase of SoundCloud’s DJ toolkit”, the plan offers offline access to SoundCloud’s entire catalogue. Users can prepare for sets in advance by downloading and caching “unlimited tracks” from the platform to a desired piece of software. The tracks will also include data on BPM and key, so DJs can even smoothly blend in tracks they’re unfamiliar with. Curated playlists are also on the way to help mix music of the same mood and genre.
VirtualDJ is already primed for SoundCloud DJ and can be used immediately. Cross DJ and Denon DJ integration is expected to arrive in the coming months, while support for other platforms such as Traktor and Serato are set to come “soon”, SoundCloud says.
SoundCloud DJ is available at £20 per month with a free 30-day trial available. Find out more at soundcloud.com
