TAL puts a Roland Juno in your hands with U-NO-LX for iPad
Hook up controllers to your iPad and get hands-on with one of the more favoured Juno emulations.
Juno 60 fans may be familiar with Togu Audio Line’s U-NO-LX soft synth, which is a complete plug-in emulation of the iconic synthesiser. Now available on iPad for a small fee of £12, which is over £40 less than the desktop version.
The app is a direct port of the original soft synth, complete with the famous Juno chorus effect, a self-resonating zero feedback delay filter and real-time sound generation. No samples are used in the creation of the sound, with the company saying it “produces the raw sound of the original hardware device without any additional effects”.
TAL-U-NO-LX is usable as an AUv3 plug-in and as a standalone instrument, along with support for MIDI, MIDI learn and MPE. This means you can hook up hardware controllers to your iPad and map parameters to take full control of the synth, as you can with the desktop version. Presets from the desktop version are also compatible with TAL-U-NO-LX for iPad, so you can get your hands on third party preset banks and jam out on both platforms. It also comes loaded with 300 factory presets.
