Universal Audio Release New Update and Host of New Plug-ins

Universal Audio have released a plugin version of the Millenia NSEQ-2 Parametric EQ, a mainstay of many mastering houses. The new plugin makes available the high end EQ capabilities of this well-regarded equaliser via the UAD Powered Plugins platform.

Also released by UA is the Pultec Passive EQ plugin collection, this collection revisits the classic Pultec EQs, the EQP-1A and the MEQ-5 and adds the HLF-3C filter, UA have also brought out an update for their UAD platform, v7.1 adds ‘elegant enhancements to the Apollo Audio Interface’ including Flex Routing which allows inputs to be routed to hardware outputs. The previously mentioned plug-ins serve as part of the V7.1 update

Pultec Passive EQ Plug-in Collection

Picking up where UA’s legacy Pultec emulations left off, the new Pultec collection revisits two must-have Pultec EQs — the EQP-1A and MEQ-5 — and adds the HLF-3C filter.

Lauded as the most popular outboard studio equalizers ever made, these classic Pultec EQs can be heard on countless hit recordings from the past five decades. The EQP-1A Program EQ is famous for bringing out individual frequency ranges without significantly altering neighboring frequencies, remaining smooth and musical even with extreme levels of boost. UAD Software 7.1 Update

Universal Audio’s latest UAD Software v7.1 provides elegant enhancements to the Apollo Audio Interface. Key among them is Flex Routing, which allows inputs to be routed to hardware outputs, headphone bus routing, as well as selectable pre/post Aux send. Flex Routing not only speeds up workflow, it adds another level of flexibility for Apollo and Apollo 16 users in studio and live situations.

Flex Routing is included in the new UAD Software v7.1, which also features the Pultec Passive EQ Plug-In Collection and the Millennia NSEQ-2 Plug-In.

New Apollo Flex Routing features include:
•    Route up to eight Console channel inputs to hardware outputs* with optional monitor mirroring
