Universal Audio OX amp top box 1.2

Universal Audio released a new firmware update for its award-winning OX Amp Top Box reactive load box. The new v1.2 firmware includes a collection of brand new models and features.

Updates to the OX’s Dynamic Speaker Modelling include an expanded list of cabinet/speaker models such as a late 60s Fender Twin Reverb with vintage JBL D-120Fs, 4×12 birch Marshall cabinet with Celestion 30W “Greenbacks”, 4×12 Marshall 1960 TV cab with Celestion V30s and a Mesa/Boogie extra deep cabinet with Celestion V30s.

Also included in this update are 27 new RIG presets and footswitch controls for on-the-fly toggling of OX’s studio-grade EQ, compression, reverb and delay effects.

For those who often grapple with volume when it comes to mic-ing up their tube amp, the OX offers five different attenuation levels to suit different playing and recording environments. Functioning as a reactive load box, OX users are promised that they will be able to dial up their amps to their sweet spots and maintain precise control over the volume, without sacrificing tone or dynamics.
