Milan-based high-fidelity audio company, V-MODA has unveiled the M-200 Professional Studio Headphones, continuing their collaboration with Roland Corporation. Being a combination of meticulous Japenese engineering and V-MODA’S classic style, this is the first of V-MODA’s headphones to be designed for the studio environment. The company says these headphones have been made“to produce a clean, refined and spacious sound with transparent clarity that’s perfect for producers, musicians and sound professionals alike”.

The M-200 headphones are equipped with 50mm drivers with neodymium magnets and CCAW voice coils to provide clarity that will benefit those working in studio spaces. With a frequency response reaching up to 40kHz, they are designed to provide a balanced tonal range, and have been deemed to be accurate enough to be awarded the Hi-Res Audio certification from the Japan Audio Society. The single-sided balanced audio cable reduces signal-to-noise ratio to offer a cleaner sound.

Aiming for comfort, the M-200 is built with sweat-resistant PU leather on the exterior, with detachable magnetic memory foam cushions. The headband is described as flexible enough for single-ear monitoring, yet durable enough to survive years of studio use. The closed-back headphones feature extra internal amplifying room for spacious sound and noise isolation.

The CliqFold hinge folds the headphones to make them compact and include an Exoskeleton case for protection and portability. With a SpeakEasy 1-button cable featuring a built-in mic, the M-200 can be used to make and receive calls with optimal clarity.

M-200 is available for pre-order at V-MODA.com and on Amazon.com ($350), shipping in late November, and will be available at authorized resellers worldwide.
