This new pack from San Diego-based producer Freddie Joachim includes a mellow collection of loose hip-hop beats and an array of dusty bass, flute, horn, strings, grand piano, Rhodes, guitar, and Moog riffs.
There’s a mixture of hardware and software sources, leading some of the loops to sound a little too clean and underproduced to our ears, but luckily, the majority of the pack is well written and performed, with a warm, textured finish. Of particular note are the characterful and varied guitar riffs, the well-played keys with nice progressions and the loose and vibe-laden drum grooves.
Also included are a mixed bag of bass, FX and musical one-shots, plus some varied and well-chosen drum hits. To accompany these, you get 73 sampler patches, including some pre-made drum kits, plus a handful of MIDI files taken from the main loops.
