Red Snapper, masters of soulful jazz and twisted electronics, have teamed up with Loopmasters for an eclectic library of loops and one-shots direct from their studio. The pack contains 838MB-worth of 24-bit audio, with raw-sounding live and processed drum grooves, warped percussion, moody blues guitar riffs, orchestral string and brass elements and organic-sounding effects. The best folder, however, is the superb collection of 66 bass loops with the signature Red Snapper sound, including picked, bowed and slapped double and electric bass.

Many synths, instruments, mics and outboard were used and it shows in the characterful finish. More experimental areas are less usable, but if you’re a fan of organic-sounding instrumental hip-hop blended with electronics, there’s plenty of excellent material here.
