This new collection from Loopmasters ticks all the house-music boxes, with jackin’ drums, lively piano riffs, funk guitars and deep, bouncing basslines. The 1.2GB of audio is divided into 414 loops and 187 crunchy hits, with 60 accompanying patches for the usual round-up of samplers. The basses are simple and effective, but the drums feel like they lack a little production finish, despite being well programmed with an excellent sense of groove. Elsewhere, the guitar riffs add a great live feel and the soulful piano loops are a highlight, along with some useful MIDI loops. A lot of the sounds have a 90s simplicity and thinness to them, but this can be a useful tool if you want to add a retro vibe. Overall, this is a good source of upbeat audio and MIDI riffs that could help add some musicality into your house tracks.
