This new pack from Loopmasters sees Juno award-winner Dubmatix and turntablist The Hip Assassin join forces for a concept-album sample pack with a robotic undercurrent. The fourth in the Hip Hop Arrival series, it features bass, synth and effects riffs, plus chunky hip-hop drum breaks and inventive beatbox rhythms.
Many of the loops include morphed, effected and scratched versions too, which lends this pack some variation. There’s a large collection of one-shots that includes drums, beatbox hits, basses, synths, excellent sci-fi effects, and processed vocal phrases. Some may find the production a bit too processed and lo-fi but, overall, this is a unique pack with plenty of characterful loops.
