VNCCII

Every Friday, the My Forever Studio podcast listeners get to hear – and now see – the studio-based desires of artists new and old. So far for season five, we’ve heard about Dot Major’s dream studio sofa and Amon Tobin’s James Bond-esque floating creative capsule, and trust us when we say, we’re just getting started.

This week, our hosts Chris Barker and Will Betts are blasting off into the cosmos with AI avatar VNCCII and her human helper, Sami Tauber. The 54th episode of My Forever Studio, in partnership with Audient, was recorded in-person at Tileyard Studios’ TYX spaces in London.

VNCCII is a multidisciplinary creative futurist, technologist, Metaverse story creator, global keynote speaker, electronic music producer, rapper, singer-songwriter, DJ and visual artist. She’s not exactly… real, however. VNCCII is an AI character and a creative muse controlled by Sami Tauber.

Sami pushes the format to its outer reaches as she imagines a suitable forever studio for our animated AI friend. Expect all the usual stuff, you know: no gravity, a complete reinvention of society, a talking Prophet 6 – that stuff. Also, discover how she’s embraced spatial audio, which attainable (and not-so-attainable) soft synth she couldn’t live without, and where she sees the role of AI in the studio.

The My Forever Studio podcast in partnership with Audient sees artists, producers and engineers create their dream fantasy Forever Studio, wherever they want in the universe. However, there are strict rules in the Forever Studio. Our guests are permitted a limited number of items in their creative space, so they must choose carefully. There will be nostalgia. There will be anecdotes. There may be gags. But there will be no bundles!
