Here’s how to create, store, browse and load templates in Ableton Live

Now that we know how to set up our perfect template, it’s time to get familiar with the template browser in Ableton Live. The DAW already comes with some useful templates that you can use to quickly get started on a new project, but you may want to edit these and add your own so that you can seamlessly switch up your workflow.

In this Ableton Live tutorial, Liam O’Mullane shows you how to create and store new templates in Ableton Live. You’ll learn how to navigate Live’s Templates tab and explore the files already available to you, as well as saving your own for later use. You’ll also learn how to set a default template for when you open Live.
