Ableton Live‘s Arrangement and Session views make the DAW an invaluable tool for many producers and artists, particularly when taking their sounds to the stage.

Session view has been used by the likes of Cody Currie as a sketchpad to quickly form ideas and trigger different sounds on the fly. It’s also been used as a live performance tool for the same reason by big-hitters like Tycho. But when these new ideas take shape and begin to expand into fully-fledged songs, you want to be able to arrange them without painstakingly moving them into new software, or re-recording them into Live as a new project. Fortunately, there’s a variety of ways to transfer your clip ideas into the Arrangement view and start mixing, processing and transforming a spark into a hot track.

Liam O’Mullane shows you how easy it is in our latest Ableton Live Tutorial video, making use of features like drag-and-drop, copy and paste, recording into Arrangement view and more.
