In Point Blank’s latest tutorial, DJ/Producer Tom Budin demonstrates how to transform a loop into a finished track using FL Studio. This builds on a previous edition, where the Australian artist walked us through making a basic beat on the DAW.

In the video, Budin shows us how FL’s stamp feature can be used to turn notes into chord progressions, forming a framework for your beat. He then embellishes the chords with a future bass super saw patch in Serum before adding hats and snares to elevate his creation.

The Aussie producer also shares invaluable tips on achieving a harder drop punch and illustrates how to craft your own signature rises and build effects using FL Studio’s 3X OSC.

Check out the full tutorial in the video above. You can also sign up for Point Blank’s FL Studio course here.
