Automation can be a great tool to add flair and variation to a particular channel or parameter within your track. You may wish to slowly fade in a particular channel’s volume, alternate panning on an instrument or, in the case of this video, adjust filter frequency cutoff on a synth. This is easily done within Logic Pro X, but one thing that can be a hindrance is diving through menus to try and find the exact parameter you wish to automate. So, Jono Buchanan returns for our next episode of Logic Pro Tips to show you how latch-mode automation can speed up your workflow when using automation.
