London Electronic Arts Festival (LEAF) made its debut this past November, taking over east London spaces and places, bringing some of the biggest names in electronic music to the capital. As part of the LEAF Hub – the centre of the festival – Point Blank hosted the masterclass room, bringing in artists like Joe Goddard, Kevin Saunderson, Kindness and MK to talk about their production process, studio setup and creative inspirations.

One of the standout artists who joined us was Chris Liebing, whose long career as a techno DJ and producer has seen him play all over the world with a constantly evolving DJ setup. We asked him to explain how his setup – featuring Ableton Live, Maschine, Traktor, Allen & Heath Xone:92 & K2 controllers, Faderfox devices, RME soundcards and TWO MacBook Airs – works and how he choose his hardware and software. It was an inspiring session for everyone at Point Blank and the live audience who attended the masterclass.
