In Point Blank’s latest tutorial they begin a four-part series examining two of Arturia’s modular plugins…

Point Blank are back with a four-part tutorial series, in which Course developer and instructor Dan Herbert will be looking at two of Arturia’s modular plugins, the ARP 2600 and the MOOG Modular. These powerful plugins are a fantastic way to get into the wonderful world of modular synthesis and PB are here to guide you through your first steps. If you’d like to learn more about synthesis, Dan Herbert teaches sound design on Point Blank’s BA (Hons) Music Production and Sound Engineering Degree.

For the first edition of the series, Dan Herbert gives us an overview of the ARP 2000, showing us around the user interface, explaining some of the functions available to us and walking us through some of the basics of modular synthesis. Keep your eyes peeled for the next in the series, where Dan will be diving deeper into Arturia’s ARP 2600, looking at the step sequencer and developing some sounds, before moving on to the MOOG Modular plugin.

If you’d like to learn more about synthesis, as well as music production, composition, mixing, mastering and more, Point Blank’s BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering Degree is one of the most comprehensive music courses available.
