In Point Blank’s latest track breakdown, Suitman Jungle invited the Point Blank team into his office in East London, to show them how he creates his high-octane, live drum-infused tracks.

Suitman Jungle is a big fan of drum breaks, using them religiously in his production process, blending the breaks with live drums and sampled sounds, for unique and entertaining results. In this video, Point Blank investigate the methods he executed to create Amen Break / Commercial Break, such as sampling the iconic and genre-defining Amen Break, from Amen Brother by The Winstons.

With the Amen Break sample assigned to his kick drum pedal, he is able to trigger the sample whilst playing the rest on his Roland SPD-SX drum pads. The track is comprised of only a few elements; time-stretched vocals and breaks, Moog bass sounds and his live drumming.
