Avid and Abbey Road Competition to Uncover Music Industry’s Hidden Talent Receives 4,851 Entries.

4,851 individual entries have been submitted for the original song competition that Avid, the makers of the industry-leading audio production and recording system Pro Tools are running alongside the legendary Abbey Road Studios The competition, which is powered by Talenthouse celebrates 25 years of Avid bringing award-winning products to the music industry and aims to uncover the music industry’s hidden talent.

With the submission window now closed, a one-week public voting period for the Fans Choice award has now commenced and will end on Thursday 21 March at 5pm GMT. The competition lets people from around the world listen to submissions and vote for their favourite song, with the winning entrant receiving an Avid Mbox Audio Interface with Pro Tools 10 software.


At the same time as the online public vote, expert judges Greg Wells (Adele, Katy Perry); John Feldman (Goldfinger, Good Charlotte); and Tricky Stewart (Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Rihanna) will select their three favourite songs. The three winning artists will receive the ultimate music recording package, which includes a track of their choice being mixed and mastered online by Abbey Road Studios as well as an Avid Pro Tools/HD Native System

The winners will be announced at Musikmesse 2013, Frankfurt on 10 April 2013.
