Image-Line, the creator of FL Studio, has announced its involvement in the Alan Walker End of Time talent search. On 14 March Alan Walker, K-391 and Ahrix will select 15 contestants to collaborate online in realtime on a remix of the track. Aspiring producers will have until 13 March to send in their best demos for consideration.

The plan is to divide the 15 contestants up into five teams of three, each team being responsible for a different component of the remix. This is split into drums, lead, bass, chords and finalizing. The producers will take part in the collaboration from their own home studios, in real bedroom producer style. The team will begin documenting the process on YouTube from 16 March, and will provide realtime updates on the official website.

Image-Line and the FL Studio team have gotten involved due to Alan Walker and K-391 starting out using FL Studio in their bedrooms. “The home studio, AKA the bedroom, is where it all started out for us”, reads the about section on the website reads.

It continues with: “With End of Time, we want to pay respect to all producers that came before us, while also giving an opportunity for the next wave of bedroom producers out there who have yet to get a chance. So we came up with the ‘Tribute’ campaign”.
