Novation Launchkey Mini Controller Announced

Novation have today unveiled the Launchkey Mini – a smaller brother of the larger, popular Launchkey, featuring a whole host of impressive features.

The new mini has 25 fast action notes and 16 velocity sensitive pads. Novation say that with the Launchkey Mini you can ‘make music anywhere’ and it certainly looks like a versatile and useful instrument.  Check out the lengthy promotional video below and read the press release for more info. The 25 fast-action notes on the mini keyboard are perfect for modern playing styles, whilst the 16 velocity-sensistive pads have remained, ready to launch loops, samples and effects. They’re backlit, providing you with instant visual feedback.

Included with the Launchkey Mini are two free iPad apps, Launchpad and Launchkey, developed by Novation. As well as these apps, you’ll get Ableton Live Lite, Novation V-Station and Bass Station, alongside a Loopmasters sample pack with over 1 GB of loops including drums, FX and artist content.

The Launchkey Mini uses Novation’s intuitive “InControl” technology to integrate with the music-making software your Mac of PC, it’s compatible with Ableton Live, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Cubase, Reason and Logic.
