Inspired by the pioneering sounds of the 80s and 90s Chicago-house legends, this new pack from Sample Magic contains over 400MB of jackin’ drum-machine beats, grooving analogue and acid basslines and rhythmic chord-stab patterns. There are 555 WAV files in total, which includes loops plus bass and chord shots, and a whole bunch of crunchy 12-bit drum and percussion hits. You also get 121 MIDI files for the bass and synth loops to use with your own sounds and on top of that, there are custom Ableton racks and drum kits in a multitude of formats. The layout is a little confusing, but you can’t argue at that much content for just over 15 quid! The production is left raw throughout, in keeping with the style, which results in authentic sounds, with space to breath and add your own effects to give a more modern sound.
