Last week, Native Instruments released Massive X, the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2007’s Massive softsynth. Point Blank has now released a tutorial video that gives an overview of the new synth’s oscillators, signal flow and more.

Undertaken by Chris Carter, Point Blank’s Module Leader for Sound Design, the overview’s first half zooms in on the two wavetable oscillators and noise oscillator section. Carter demonstrates how to morph waveforms and search for different wavetables, before highlighting some interesting sounds offered by the two identical noise oscillators.

The next half of the overview focuses on both insert and send effects, the various modulation sources, presets and the intuitive routing engine.

Check out the full overview above.
