Vocals are the one constant across any genre that makes our ears perk up and our brains tune in. For better or for worse, they are often the difference between an underground club smash and a number one record but, especially in sample-based and repetitive electronic music, it can be a huge challenge to balance and mix an organic and dynamic sound like the human voice.
