Ableton Live has an impressive toolkit for editing audio samples, with warping, reversing, slicing and more. But there are some seriously powerful pieces of software out there that can give you more control over your audio, whether you’re just cleaning up some vocals or completely transforming the timbre of a sound. Still, wouldn’t it be better if you could integrate the software into Ableton Live?

In this Ableton Live tutorial, Liam O’Mullane shows you how you can add external sample editors into your Live workflow. You’ll learn how to set them up in Live, and how to move files from Live into the external editor. You’ll also learn how to overwrite the unedited audio files and how to make copies of an edited audio clip.
